MONOGRAM FORMAT FOR AN INDIVIDUAL

1. The first letter is the first initial of the person’s first name
2. The large initial in the center is the first initial of the person’s last name
3. The third initial is for the first letter of the person’s middle name or maiden name.

A gift monogrammed for Kathleen Anne Smith would read:




MONOGRAM FORMAT FOR A MARRIED COUPLE

1. The first letter is for the first initial of the bride’s or woman’s first name
2. The large initial in the center represents the first letter of the last name of the couple
3. The third letter is for the first initial of the husband’s first name or the first initial of the bride’s or woman’s maiden name.

Example:
Kathleen Anne Smith married to Christopher Steven Jones would read:

*Often, gifts intended for the bride, such as hankies or private keepsakes will display the second of the two choices and contain her maiden name initial.

INITIALS FORMAT

This format is appropriate if you would like the initials to read exactly as the person’s name is written, and NOT in a monogram format. *Note - the letters are all capitalized and the same size.
